Dr. Lucy Shi is an Ivy League-educated double board-certified facial plastic & reconstructive surgeon in New York. She specializes in both aesthetic and reconstructive procedures pertaining to the face. Dr. Shi treats conditions that have an impact on the form & appearance of a patient’s face. These include complex reconstruction for facial or nasal defects, reanimation procedures for patients suffering from facial paralysis, repair of traumatic facial injuries, gender-affirming surgery for the face, and microtia reconstruction. In addition, Dr Shi also has extensive expertise in aesthetics & rejuvenation of the face, including cosmetic rhinoplasty, eyelid procedures, browlifts, facelifts, and minimally-invasive procedures.

Dr. Shi is an attending facial plastic & reconstructive surgeon at Lenox Hill Hospital and Northwell Health. She also serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at the Donald & Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Dr. Shi is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Medical Association. In her free time, Dr. Shi is an avid runner, a lover of the outdoors, a sporadic yogi, and a seasoned traveler.
A New York City native, Dr. Shi has traveled across the country to pursue her education and training. She graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with degrees in International Relations & Economics. She then obtained her medical degree from Emory University. Following her stint in Atlanta, she went on to complete her surgical residency training in Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery at the Ohio State University, one of the highest ranked programs in the country. Following residency, she was selected for an extremely competitive fellowship through the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, WA, where she trained under some of the most renowned surgeons in the world.
